Every listing reads like a mini technical tender — background, problem statement, scope, requirements, constraints, input files, deliverables, acceptance criteria, milestones and how proposals will be evaluated.
We need the full structural design package — analysis, member sizing, detailing and calculation report — produced to a standard our local reviewing engineer can check and sign without redoing the work.
We need production-intent schematic and layout with a fabrication package that passes DFM at our assembly house first time, and an antenna layout that actually achieves range.
We need a full HVAC design for the classified areas — air change rates, pressure cascade, filtration and AHU selection — documented to survive a regulatory inspection.
We need a bankable design package — layout, yield, single-line diagrams and a grid compliance study — that will withstand a lender's independent engineer review.
We need a compliant design history file and risk management file built around the device we already have, structured so our notified body can assess it without a string of deficiency letters.
We need a complete cell design — layout, reach study, safety architecture and an ISO 13849 assessment — that our insurer and our works council will both accept.
We need position-specific foundation designs that handle the ground variability without over-designing the good positions, plus a clear basis a lender's engineer can review.
We need a class-submittable naval architecture package — hull form, stability, scantlings and general arrangement — that will get through class plan approval without repeated resubmission.

Questions
Bidding on engineering projects
What does a good proposal contain?
Price, timeline, relevant completed projects, team, methodology, risks and assumptions, questions, a milestone proposal, the deliverable list, software, standards and your availability. Proposals are normalised into one comparison table, so a vague one is visibly vague.
Do I have to bid constantly to win work?
No. Deliberately not. Matching runs on structured capability rather than keywords, so relevant projects are surfaced to you, and clients can invite you directly. The platform does not reward volume applications.
What if the project is confidential?
Private projects are visible only to invited engineers, and NDA-gated projects require an executed NDA before documents are released. Attachments carry access levels, and a watermarked preview may be shown before full release.
How do I know the client will pay?
Milestones are funded into escrow before work begins on them. If a client will not fund a milestone, do not start it — that is the whole point of the mechanism.
